Thug Life is a hard-hitting gangster action drama that marks the reunion of legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam and actor Kamal Haasan. The film explores the brutal underworld through the life of Rangaraaya Sakthivel Nayakar (Kamal Haasan), a dominant don battling power dynamics and personal rivalries, especially with his adopted son Amaran (Silambarasan). Trisha Krishnan plays Indrani, Sakthivel’s steadfast supporter, while Nassar portrays Manickavel, Sakthivel’s conflicted brother.
The film also stars Abhirami as Sakthivel’s wife, Sanjana Krishnamoorthy as his daughter, and Mahesh Manjrekar as a corrupt minister.
