Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sekhar Kammula, Kuberaa is a gripping social thriller that brings together a stellar cast. Dhanush portrays a beggar who undergoes a dramatic transformation, exploring the depths of greed and ambition. Nagarjuna Akkineni and Rashmika Mandanna play a middle-class couple, adding layers to the narrative with their contrasting perspectives on life. Jim Sarbh takes on the role of a wealthy businessman, introducing a dynamic antagonist to the story.
The film’s production journey began in February 2024, with principal photography taking place in Hyderabad and Mumbai. The music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, marking his third collaboration with Dhanush and first with Sekhar Kammula. The first single, “Poyivaa Nanba,” was released on April 20, 2025, adding to the film’s anticipation.
Kuberaa is set to release theatrically worldwide on June 20, 2025, and will be available on Amazon Prime Video post its theatrical run.
