Nadeesha Hemamali (born August 10, 1985) is a popular Sri Lankan actress, model, and film producer, born in Ambalangoda, Sri Lanka. She is of Sinhalese ethnicity and holds Sri Lankan nationality. Raised alongside her sisters, Nishadi and Harshani Hemamali, she has maintained her privacy regarding educational details. Known for her vibrant personality and professionalism, Nadeesha currently lives in Colombo. Nadeesha debuted in the film industry with Anjalika in 2006 and quickly rose to fame with her performance as Madhavi in Tharaka Mal (2007). She expanded her repertoire with roles in Mr. Rascal (2011), Train to Kandy (2012), and the comedy hit Yama Raja Siri (2018). She also made history with Juliya (2009), the first Sinhala HD film to premiere internationally in London. Beyond acting, she co-produced Train to Kandy and remains active in both drama and cinema.
In 2012, Nadeesha was honoured with the Sumathi Most Popular Actress Award. The following year, she entered politics, contesting the Southern Provincial Council Elections under the UNP banner.
